I was denied my rights and had my children wrongly taken and santioned from me with no recourse but to comply with DCF/county demands. I was divorced but a dcf agent put me in with my ex wife resulting in 10 months of my children in foster care.I would like to sue for what the system promised my family in the first place.

I am trying to find an attorney to represent a refugee who is seeking asylum in the US. His case was denied but he must now submit an appeal and has no lawyer to do it? I have to find someone soon. If he is deported his life will be at risk. Does anyone have any tips besides sending e-mails to any immigration lawyers I can find?

I know someone that was wrongly convicted for a murder case about 12 years ago, but he could afford decent representation. He was convicted just from a witness saying that the person who did the murder looked like him. If anyone knows of any pro-bono attorneys in Chicago, Illinois or Illinois period, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If someone has to defend themselves against a lawyer working pro bono for a questionably frivolous suit and they successfully defend themselves showing the suit is without merit and the work was done pro bono for someone without much assets can the lawyer doing the pro bono work be made to pay the legal fees of the side who had to defend itself.
In one case I’m thinking of a student has had multiple lawsuits brought by his mother against schools from early grammar school through high school and is having one now where I for the life of me do not see any merit in. Can a lawyer filing the suit be made to pay the legal fees of the people defending.

I am SICK AND TIRED OF BEING OVER-WEIGHT!! I’ve gone through all of the motions, consulted with the physicians, heard the words, “you would make a GREAT candidate for bariatric surgery, but give me $15,000 to do it for you. Yes, I’ve submitted to insurance, but they know best and will not cover the surgery. You name it, I’ve tried it. I have two shelfs of Nutrisystem food sitting in my pantry as I type!! C’mon!! There has to be someone out there that knows the ins on how to be the guinea pig for new doctors…I’m 37 years old with a daughter that is soon to turn 5. I’ve had to teach her that fat is not a nice word. Now she calls over-weight people “just a little heavy”. I’m not asking for a hand-out by any means, only an avenue as to where I might receive the surgical procedure and process pro-bono while aiding a physician in obtaining practice for this booming new phenomenom.

Is a law student allowed to represent someone pro bono in a civil action in New York [any county] Supreme Court if that person cannot afford an attorney?

I really need to find a public defender or someone who would take the case Pro-bono. We can’t afford a lawyer and need someone that deals with family court. Also, we need to have detective work provided and to obtain acess to records that we wouldn’t be able to get but a public defender would. It’s very important that we get a public defender as soon as possible. Again, anyone that knows of a website or how to go about locating a public defender would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know of a way a person could be considered as a medical students practice subject, and maybe could act as their practice subject throughout their cosmetic plastic surgery training, in order to receive cosmetic plastic surgical procedures free of charge?
Or is there a way to be considered for pro-bono cosmetic plastic surgery?

Hello, everyone. I need some insights and wisdoms from people who are lawyers or know a lot about the inside and out of being a lawyer.
Growing up in my community, I had so many people telling me how glamorous life of a lawyer is, how much money they make, how nice are their houses and cars, how respected they are in their community. It almost sounded like being a lawyer is one of the most fantastic careers in the world with hardly any problems.
But as life is, I am sure there are downsides of being a lawyer that many ordinary people don’t know about. 1. What are the downsides of being a lawyer? 2. At the end, do you believe the good sides far outweigh the bad sides? 3. Would you recommend the career to someone who values deeply on family time and enjoying life?
Thanks in advance for any insights.
