How can I go about finding a lawyer that will help me. I can not afford the $1500 retainer fees and $200 an hour fees. This is for a family matter. I am moving back home out of state and my ex is not allowing me to take our 11 year old son.
I’d like to start a non-profit organization to help people rebuild their lives, but I need some help getting it starting. Is there a lawyer who would consider reviewing my paperwork to make sure I did it right? I have already completed the 1023 and bylaws, and I’ve taken care of the IRS fees and I have an EIN (somewhere…). Please help! Thanks in advance.

My cousin was sentenced to life sentence in gulf county for a murder that they said he committed. The state has no murder weapon, no confession, and no witness. The only witness that they had changed his story on the stand. So does anyone know what i can do?
A good friend of mine has gotten into trouble with the law. She’s a good person, just made some bad decisions with the wrong people. She is facing criminal charges, and needs a lawyer, but is not in a financial position to pay for one outright. I know that some lawyers take on isolated cases pro-bono; how would she go about locating those kind of lawyers? Any websites, resources, physical locations, etc. would be helpful. She lives in Atlanta, GA.

My husband is trying to get custody of my children, he has a lawyer and i cannot afford one. I’m pretty sure just by that my chances of having my children are slim. I was wondering if anyone knows of any attorneys that are willing to take a case on a pro bono basis. I am in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I had a gastric bypass 7 years ago. I lost over 150 lbs. and kept it off! I feel great with the exception of a lot of extra skin around my abd., breasts, arms and rear. My ins. refuses to cover the surgery stating that it is “cosmetic” rather than “reconstructive”. They obviously did not look at the pictures of my disfigured mid section. I am looking for a Dr. or teachin hosp., who will be interested in doing pro bono, or reduced cost surgery. In exchange I would be willing to be photographed or video taped, before, during, and after. I am a designer at a printing co. and would put together promotional piece(s), printed and mailed to a list of bariatric patients in the area or accross the country, to showcase the work. I have encountered many people who NEED these surgeries to resume normal lives, patients who are interested in having their bodies refined as well. It could probably even be written of as an advertising expense. Please advise.
